How Klimt handles personal data on this website and in the Klimt Moodboard Engine application.
Who we are
Klimt is a company established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For the processing described on this page, Klimt is the controller of your personal data.
You can reach us about anything on this page at admin@klimt.io.
What this page covers
Two things: this website, klimt.io, and Klimt Moodboard Engine, the internal application we use to collect visual references through the Pinterest API.
It does not cover the Klimt platform supplied to agency clients. Processing there is governed by the agreement and the data processing terms signed with each client.
This website
klimt.io is not a broad public campaign. We send its link to a small number of agencies, partners and investors, and we want to know which pages were actually read. So each visit is recorded once, with:
- · your IP address, and the approximate city, region, country and time zone derived from it
- · device type, operating system, browser, screen size and browser language
- · the referring address, when your browser sends one
- · the pages you open, their titles, and the time of each
- · how long the tab was actively in view
- · the share code, when you arrived through a link we sent that carries one
- · a random visit identifier, held in your browser and cleared with your browsing data
We set no cookies. Nothing here is used for advertising, sold, or combined with data bought from anyone else.
To switch it off: open klimt.io/?notrack=1 once. Your browser then sends nothing at all, on every page, until you reverse it with ?notrack=0.
Where the GDPR applies to you, our basis for this is legitimate interest: understanding how a document we sent you is being read. You can object at any time, with the switch above or by writing to us.
This site and these records are hosted by Vercel. No automatic expiry is set on them today. We delete them on request, and we will publish a retention period here once we set one.
The Pinterest application
Klimt Moodboard Engine is an internal tool. It is operated by Klimt staff, it has no other users, and it is read-only. It does two things:
- · it reads the boards and pins of the Klimt Pinterest account that authorises it
- · it retrieves public pins matching a search term
It never creates, edits, deletes or promotes pins or boards, and it runs no advertising. Image addresses are stored with the link back to their source pin, so a reference always remains attributable to where it came from.
The access token is held on Klimt's own infrastructure and shared with no one. Authorisation can be withdrawn at any time from Pinterest account settings, under Security and permissions, Apps.
Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It reaches only the providers that host and run the services described above, and anyone the law obliges us to inform.
Klimt is established in the United Arab Emirates and its providers operate infrastructure in the European Union and the United States. If the GDPR applies to you, your data may therefore travel outside the EEA. We are completing the data processing agreements with those providers that cover these transfers.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or the UAE Personal Data Protection Law applies, you may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to the website measurement described above. Write to admin@klimt.io and we will answer within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA and you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
We update this page whenever the processing behind it changes. The date at the top is the last change.
